Building and Construction

Two Directors of the Company provide advice in the area of building and construction, and are able to appear in the various Consumer Tribunals as well as in the District Courts in this area of work.

We do not have any particular affiliation with any building services groups, nor with any consumer associations, and are available to act on both sides of the ledger in litigation in this area.

Our lawyers act in areas as diverse as commercial disputes between builders, developers and home owners, through to disputes about contracts on larger commercial construction sites. Our lawyers' skills in mediation and alternative dispute resolution are often called upon in these disputes, because very often the costs and delay involved in protracted litigation must be avoided, to ensure construction proceeds on time.

In the domestic housing sector, we regularly provide advice to builders and homeowners on fixed price as well as cost plus residential building contracts.

Contact Philip Young or Jeffrey Thomas on 1300 727 813 for assistance.
